Cady SHAW
Cady is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. As the Director of Curation for the Choctaw Cultural Center, she has contributed to the Nation’s collections care and management, as well as advised on the center’s construction and the creation of the exhibits and policies. Cady holds a BA from the University of Tulsa and a Certificate in Exhibition Design from the Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries and Museums. She is a member of the Intertribal Council Cultural Workgroup and of the planning committee of the Native American Professionals Network for the American Alliance of Museums. Her professional work has won several local and national awards. Her exhibits have been displayed at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC, the Gilcrease Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Oklahoma History Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and various museums and locations throughout the Cherokee Nation reservation. She resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
