Jonas MUSCO
Jonas Musco is a research associate at the musée du quai Branly-Jacques Chirac (2023-2025, CroyAN project) and a doctoral student at EHESS. As part of the CRoyAN project, he is studying French colonial archives from the 17th and 18th centuries, including a corpus of Ancien Régime maps, to contribute to the history of indigenous territories in the Mississippi Valley, in collaboration with the Choctaw, Miami, Quapaw and Peoria Nations. At the same time, he is writing a thesis, at the crossroads of history and anthropology, on Amerindian relations to the environment during the French Louisiana period.
